IF YOU ASK US ABOUT SIK...

Speedway Indoor Karting (SIK) is a state-of-the-art indoor karting and event facility located in Speedway, Indiana. Located just 10 minutes from downtown and blocks from the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, SIK provides visitors of all ages and skill levels, the opportunity to experience racing by driving on both a European-style, multi-level road course as well as a slick track oval.

Inside, SIK also features four mini-bowling lanes, a golf and multi-sport simulator, arcade games overlooking the tracks, and private conference and catering areas, all in addition to its crown jewel, the indoor karting element.

BUT IF YOU WERE TO ASK US ON A DEEPER LEVEL...

Speedway Indoor Karting opened in April 2016, founded by Andy and Sarah (Fisher) O'Gara. Yes, that Sarah Fisher. SIK was their dream, offering a way to return to their roots, after spending over a decade in IndyCar as everything from drivers, mechanics, strategists and eventually owners. Through it all, they believed karting was the purest form of racing. And they wanted to share that love and joy with the public.

When it came to starting SIK, it was all hands on deck for the O'Gara family. This included their little brother, Kyle, and his best friend and honorary family member Rockie. The two both grew up as kids of Beech Grove business owners and wreaked havoc on the streets of the small town, putting many miles on their bikes and running up quite the tabs at the local bowling alley and other local eateries. All when they weren't competitively karting of course.

But back to SIK. Kyle, as all little brothers tend to be, was unpaid labor in the beginning. He used his experience in the racing industry as a driver, mechanic and resident floor sweeper to help design the tracks, source karts, and handle whatever else was needed out of the goodness of his heart and occasional food and gas money.

Rockie came in a little later with his own lengthy karting experience, a wealth of technical knowledge, and a "let's figure it out" mindset that helped get the business going in the right direction with timing and scoring and getting the karts where they needed to be.

When the doors finally opened, they both stepped into daily manager roles, working 14 hour days to ensure every guest received the dream experience.

It truly was a family business. SIK was the first job for many cousins, Andy and Kyle's mom ran the accounting department and family friends made up a good portion of the staff.

The tracks were fun. The karts were fast. And everything was going well. They just needed people to know about SIK. That's where Marissa came in. With a history in racing PR and a communications degree, she joined the team to help spread the good news. In true family business fashion—or Hallmark movie style, whichever you prefer—she fell in love with the brother and she and Kyle got married in 2019.

Over the next seven years, Kyle, Rockie and Marissa ran SIK's daily operations and helped build and grow the business.

In 2023 Andy and Sarah decided they wanted to take a step back. They had opened multiple businesses over the last seven years, their kids were getting older and one was ready to take the next steps in his budding racing career. But Kyle, Rockie and Marissa weren't quite ready to say goodbye.

So they didn't. The trio purchased SIK in 2023 to continue the dream.

It still is a family business. Their family dogs and Kyle and Marissa's daughter are frequent visitors in the upstairs offices. Rockie's wife, whose first job happened to be a point of sale associate at SIK, rejoined the team shortly after they took over. And other family members are still scattered throughout the staff in various roles.

SIK didn't start as their dream, but over the years it has become that and more. Above all their hope is that you come in, enjoy racing in its purest form, and leave with an unforgettable memory.

Welcome to Speedway Indoor Karting. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

3 OWNERS. 1 VISION.

ROCKIE PICCIONE

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Rockie Piccione Co-Owner

Rockie is a lifelong racer, former IndyCar mechanic, and the Chief Financial Officer of Speedway Indoor Karting.

Rockie got into racing through karting and raced competitively for multiple years. After karting, he worked as a mechanic for Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing in IndyCar.

Rockie has been with the SIK team since opening. He started as a manager and spent a lot of time on the floor with guests and staff. Over the years he took on more of the business side and worked his way up to Chief Financial Officer. SIK is also where he met his wife, so the place means a lot to him. These days most of his work happens behind the scenes. He works on the numbers, the systems, and the planning that help the business run well. He enjoys learning anything related to technology, data, and business, and he’s always looking for ways to use them to make SIK better for guests.

When he isn’t at the track, he’s usually with his Belgian Malinois, who never seems to run out of energy.

KYLE o'GARA

CHIEF OPERATING OFFicer

Kyle OGara Picture

Kyle is the Chief Operating Officer of SIK, a position he organically grew into after starting with no title in 2015, six months before the business opened, to manager to VP of Operations shortly after. As COO, Kyle oversees the company's daily strategic and operational functions, ensuring a top-tier experience for every guest who walks through the doors. His leadership style is entirely hands-on, rooted in a deep understanding of every facet of the business.

Kyle grew up immersed in the sport of racing. He spent many years traveling the Midwest racing karts competitively before turning his attention to the competitive open-wheel short track ranks of pavement midgets and sprint cars. Over the course of his racing career, O’Gara has won multiple national championships and still actively competes today. If he's not watching the tracks at SIK from his office window - yes, he really can see you when you race, but please don't try to wave to him while on the track - or helping out with facility upkeep - and yes, he occasionally cleans the bathrooms, so please don't make a mess just for him to clean, there's a very good chance he's at a racetrack somewhere.

Kyle graduated from Roncalli High School in Indianapolis in 2013 and earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in business management from WGU Indiana in 2020, while working full-time.

On a personal note, SIK holds a truly special place in Kyle’s heart because it is where he met his wife, Marissa. The couple was married in September of 2019, and he proudly points out that he always remembers their anniversary date. They welcomed their daughter, Rory, in November of 2025. The household and the office are completed by their two golden retrievers, Ellie and Beau, who love spending time roaming the offices of SIK looking for pets.

Fun fact: Kyle enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether he is on the lake with Marissa and Rory or duck hunting with his dog Beau, he is happiest outdoors.

MARISSA O'GARA

CHIEF COMMUNICATION & MARKETING OFFICER

Marissa OGara

Marissa loves writing, just not about herself. She did write Kyle’s biography because after 7 years of marriage, she basically knows him better than himself anyway.

In another lifetime she might be an author. In this lifetime she is the Chief Communication and Marketing Officer at Speedway Indoor Karting. Marissa oversees aspects of public relations, customer relations, advertising, marketing, community engagement and social media.

She knows more about racing than she’d like to, due to working at SIK for 10 years and her prior work in racing PR for 4 years before that. She went into her first “real” job after college knowing nothing more than that racing existed. Now she can tell you about racing lines, apexes, understeer, oversteer, drive off a corner and more. But she will be the first to admit that knowledge does not transfer to skill. She has none in a kart. And she will not race you. She is competitive and a sore loser.

Marissa grew up in a small rural town in Northern Indiana and graduated from Butler University in 2013 (Go Dawgs!) with a Journalism Degree.

You’ve already heard the cliche story about how she met the love of her life. For the record, they did try to hide it. They both are terrible liars. Marissa and Kyle were married in 2019 and lived the DINKWAD (double income, no kids, with a dog) lifestyle with their two golden retrievers, Ellie and Beau, before welcoming their daughter to the family in 2025.

Marissa loves dogs and will point out every one she sees. When not at work, she also loves being outside. As long as it’s not too hot, too cold, not super sunny and not buggy. Okay, she likes reading books in a room with lots of windows.

Fun Fact: Marissa wants a hobby farm and tries to convince Kyle daily to let her get animals. Animals of interest include but are not limited to: mini cows, donkeys, horses and goats. Letters of encouragement or persuasion are welcome and can be sent to info@sikarting.com. Subject: KYLE LET HER GET AN ANIMAL
